I though for sure Bones would really do well in the ratings with all that promoting.

Yeah, ratings really sucked. That's the way it generally goes though, the really strong episodes tend to have weaker ratings for whatever reason. I'm not sure how many Nielsen families are in my area, but my Fox station was glitching during Bones, making it impossible to watch. I had to download it on itunes this morning.

Why are ratings trending down so much this week. Last night we saw a huge drop in the ABC numbers from normal, and we are seeing a similar drop this Monday.

It is a difficult time slot, but the drop off is wierd, especially for such a heavily promoted, strong episode. I really expected at least the same as last week, or even a little higher with all of the extra promotion. As recovered said, the trends overall are down this week. Hard telling why. I'm guessing life just gets in the way of TV sometimes. I'm sure we will go up with the DVR numbers. Personally, I would LOVE for it to go back to 9pm. 8:00 is nearly impossible for me to watch anything live-my kids sports schedules have pretty much killed that. 1st it was baseball and football going til 8 or 9, now it's 7:30-8:30 basketball practices on Monday nights. Really??

I would love to see the 9PM time slot too.. 8 is hard sometimes. I don't think Mob Doctor is going to last after 13 episodes, so maybe Fox will move it. It probably won't happen as Bones is the lead in. I have no idea what Fox would replace Mob Doctor with.
